Morocco’s 2027 draft finance bill provides for 34,454 budgetary posts under the general budget, including 33,954 allocated among ministries and public institutions, according to Le Matin.

The main recruitments concern the Ministry of the Interior, with 14,200 posts, the National Defence Administration, with 5,500 posts, and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, with 5,400 posts. The Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Public-sector Performance is to receive 2,460 posts, ahead of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, with 1,920 posts, according to Le Matin.

The bill also provides for 1,500 posts for the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration, 400 for the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs, and 364 for the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, Vocational Training and Qualifications. Justice, agriculture, foreign affairs, infrastructure and tourism are also among the sectors receiving posts, according to Le Matin.

The allocation of posts follows Mohammed VI’s adoption of the guidelines for Morocco’s 2027 budget on 17 October (guidelines for Morocco’s 2027 budget). It complements the forecast revenue of 482.4 billion dirhams announced on 23 October (Morocco’s 2027 budget revenue).
