Morocco’s draft 2027 Finance Bill provides for exemptions from taxes, VAT and customs duties for FIFA, football federations and several partners involved in the 2030 World Cup, according to Le Matin. The measure is intended to implement the tax guarantees granted to FIFA for the tournament co-hosted by Morocco, Spain and Portugal.

The benefits would cover FIFA and its subsidiaries, organising bodies, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, certain participating federations, broadcasters, service providers and commercial partners. They would be limited to activities, transactions and revenues directly connected to the competition and related events, according to the 2027 draft Finance Bill.

The bill also provides for temporary exemptions from import duties and several taxes on goods, materials and equipment brought into Morocco for the tournament. Registration duties, stamp duties, the special annual vehicle tax, tax on insurance contracts, and the air solidarity and tourism promotion tax are also covered, according to Le Matin.

These provisions detail the tax exemptions granted to FIFA and its partners through 2032, announced on 23 October as part of Morocco’s 2027 budget.
