In The Gambia, APRC faction links Jammeh’s return to an alliance with the NPP

Halifa E. Jarju, spokesperson for the APRC No-to-Alliance faction, believes an alliance with the ruling NPP could enable former president Yahya Jammeh to return before the 2026 presidential election. He says an agreement with opposition party UDP could not achieve this and notes that his faction is not currently negotiating with any party, according to Kerr Fatou.
