Cholera has killed more than a dozen Mozambicans in recent days in Tete province. The situation has been blamed on persistent insufficient access to drinking water, according to @Verdade.

More than a dozen Mozambicans have died of cholera in recent days in Tete province in the country’s central-western region, @Verdade reports. The media outlet blamed insufficient access to drinking water and the absence of water supply networks in several areas.

@Verdade attributed the situation to the inability of the government led by Frelimo to make water from the Zambezi safe to drink and channel it after 51 years in power.
