Brad Cooper presents Trump with options for strikes against Iran

CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper presented Donald Trump with military options against Iran at a White House meeting. Washington is considering, among other measures, intensified airstrikes targeting Iran’s ballistic capabilities, according to the Zambian Observer.

Admiral Brad Cooper, head of the US military command in the Middle East, presented President Donald Trump with options for strikes against Iran at the White House on Thursday, the Zambian Observer reports. US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and General Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, took part in the meeting.

The US administration is considering resuming large-scale military operations after the Epic Fury campaign, according to the Zambian Observer. The options presented include intensified airstrikes targeting Iran’s missile capabilities. Preparations are also under way, including strengthening air defences and ammunition stocks and adjusting troop deployments to limit Tehran’s ability to retaliate.

US officials have warned Gulf countries that they may need to prepare for a brief, intense campaign after the midterm elections, scheduled for early November. Donald Trump said at a recent rally that the United States could launch “another little Epic Fury” if Iran did not reach an agreement. Vice-President JD Vance has held diplomatic talks with Tehran, which reportedly focused mainly on medical equipment, according to the Zambian Observer.

The meeting follows the CENTCOM, the US command for the Middle East, preparing strike options against Iran on 26 October. It also comes after Donald Trump kept open the military option to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, announced on 29 October (the US military option against Iran).
