The convoy of Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC)’s presidential candidate in Nigeria, was targeted in an armed attack on Wednesday in Calabar, Cross River State. A supporter was shot and injured in the incident, Esther Umoh, Peter Obi’s press aide, announced, according to P.M. News.

Peter Obi was travelling with his wife Margaret and his running mate Rabiu Kwankwaso to a party town hall meeting at the Metropolitan Hotel in Calabar.
