The Abidjan Metro Line 1 project has already compensated 11,644 of the 15,316 people affected, with 74 billion CFA francs mobilised. The state plans to provide an additional 10 billion and still has 2,812 cases to process, according to Cissé Moustapha, the project’s authorising officer, quoted by AIP.

There are 2,812 cases still to be processed, including 894 people who have not finalised signing their certificates and 1,918 who did not attend the negotiation sessions. Project officials say the buildings belonging to the three people cited in the media have been compensated, while their land rights are still being examined because of insufficient supporting documents, reports AIP.
