Koulikoro governor Colonel-Major Lamine Kapory Sanogo has extended the regional curfew until 20 November 2026. Movement by people and vehicles remains prohibited from midnight to 5am, while dump trucks are still banned from circulating, reports Mali Actu.
The governor of Mali’s Koulikoro region, Colonel-Major Lamine Kapory Sanogo, has extended the curfew and movement restrictions across the country’s second administrative region by one month. The decision, signed on 21 October 2026, covers the period from 21 October to 20 November, according to the regional administration.
Movement by people and vehicles remains prohibited from midnight to 5am. The movement of dump trucks also remains suspended, in line with the measure introduced on 15 May 2026. The curfew has been in force since 25 April and has already been extended several times.
Prefects, sub-prefects, mayors and the Defence and Security Forces have been tasked with enforcing the hours and restrictions. The governor’s office has called on residents to remain calm, act responsibly and co-operate with forces involved in security operations.
The extension comes as the Malian authorities continue operations against armed groups. On 22 October, the FAMa announced that they had neutralised several fighters in the Ouagadou forest, after an operation in the area in the centre of the country.
