Ghanaian cardiologist George Preprah recommends training company staff in resuscitation techniques to improve the handling of cardiac emergencies. Speaking on Connect 97.1FM in Takoradi, he said the training could save lives and might have helped actor Kwame Dzokoto, according to the station.

Ghanaian cardiologist George Preprah has called on companies to train their employees in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), following the death of actor Seth Kwame Dzokoto, 3news reports. Speaking on Connect 97.1FM in Takoradi, he said trained employees could intervene in the event of cardiac arrest before emergency services arrived, and that this intervention could have saved the actor.

CPR notably involves performing chest compressions when a person is unresponsive and not breathing normally. Early intervention can improve the chances of survival, although it cannot guarantee them. George Preprah’s call follows the death of Ghanaian actor Seth Kwame Dzokoto, announced on 22 October after he suffered a medical episode live on air.
