Egyptian club Zamalek has postponed talks on renewing left-back Ahmed Fattouh’s contract, which expires at the end of the season. The player is demanding payment of his outstanding dues and financial compensation before deciding his future, reports Egyptian daily Al-Youm Al-Sabea.

Ahmed Fattouh, Zamalek’s left-back, has not yet begun final negotiations to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season. The player accepts the principle of an extension, but is first asking for his outstanding salary payments from last season to be settled, according to a source within the Egyptian club.

Fattouh is also demanding financial compensation as part of the new agreement, in order to secure his situation before committing. Zamalek’s officials have therefore decided to postpone opening talks on renewing his contract, according to the same source.
