The National Cocoa and Coffee Board (ONCC) says exporters were buying cocoa for between 2,700 and 2,800 CFA francs per kilogram in Douala on 21 October 2026. This range has remained unchanged since 7 October, despite a fall in benchmark export prices, according to data from the ONCC’s Sector Information System reported by Investir au Cameroun.

Between 15 and 21 October, the FOB Douala price, which measures the value of cocoa for export before freight and insurance, fell from 3,362 to 3,220 CFA francs per kilogram, a drop of 142 CFA francs, or 4.2%. The CIF price, which includes transport and insurance to the destination, fell from 3,444 to 3,299 CFA francs, without changing the prices offered by exporters, Investir au Cameroun reports.

Purchase prices had risen at the start of the month, from 2,650-2,700 CFA francs on 1 and 2 October to 2,700-2,800 CFA francs from 7 October. The current range is slightly above the 2,700-2,750 CFA francs recorded on 14 July, on the eve of the theoretical end of the 2025-2026 season, according to Investir au Cameroun.
