Entrepreneurs from São Tomé and Príncipe have launched ZASS, a digital platform designed to connect businesses and consumers in the country, RSTP reports. The app includes categories for food services, construction, events, shops and restaurants.

One of its founders, Kelman Torres, describes ZASS as a “social network for businesses” that gives users access to the country’s products and services. The platform is also intended to allow businesses to sell when their premises are closed and make it easier for customers to shop remotely without travelling.

Participant Kina Bragança welcomed an initiative that should allow businesses to sell more quickly and customers to buy through a digital app. According to the organisers, the project aims to boost domestic commercial activity and improve access to products and services.
