US President Donald Trump has authorised the temporary resumption of Russian diesel exports to bring down prices in the United States, with more than 300,000 tonnes expected immediately. Volodymyr Zelensky denounced a decision favourable to Vladimir Putin after discussions between US and Ukrainian officials, according to Axios and an interview with Piers Morgan.

US President Donald Trump has reached an arrangement with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to temporarily return Russian diesel to global markets in order to lower fuel prices in the United States. The agreement, announced after an exchange between the two leaders, was denounced as a betrayal by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to Zambianobserver.

Russia is to release more than 300,000 tonnes of diesel immediately, followed by 500,000 tonnes in November and a further one million tonnes later. More volumes could be added depending on the state of its refineries. Volodymyr Zelensky believes the decision is a gift to Vladimir Putin and contributes to prolonging the war in Ukraine. US senators call for Russian diesel deal to be scrapped.
