The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Regional Multiservices Company (SRM-RSK) announced on Thursday 22 October 2026 that its water quality control laboratory had obtained accreditation under the NM ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard. Granted on 6 October by the Moroccan Accreditation Service (SEMAC), which comes under Morocco’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, the accreditation covers ten microbiological and physico-chemical tests on drinking water and wastewater.
The laboratory analysed 6,768 samples between 1 January and 31 August 2026, covering 32,021 bacteriological parameters and 63,312 physico-chemical parameters. It also carried out 167,689 chlorine tests to check the disinfection of water in distribution networks, according to data provided by SRM-RSK.
Samples are collected daily from different points in the provincial networks, then transported under cold-chain conditions before being analysed. The accreditation attests to the laboratory’s technical competence and impartiality for the tests concerned, according to SRM-RSK.
