Eswatini businessman Lincoln Motsa is making his new commercial premises at Ngwane Park available to three young entrepreneurs, who run a car wash and a grilled-meat restaurant there. All the businesses, including his own restaurant, support 29 jobs, reports the Times of Eswatini.

Lincoln Motsa, head of OK Foods Eswatini and chairperson of Linac Group, has opened his new commercial premises at Ngwane Park to three young entrepreneurs. The site houses a car wash, a grilled-meat restaurant and his own establishment, L’s Chillers Liquor and Restaurant, according to the Times of Eswatini.

The MAPS Village car wash is run by Thabang Maphalala. The SISAJ Shisanyama restaurant is managed by Sibusiso Shabangu and Sandile Mkhulisi. Together, the businesses support 29 jobs: nine at the car wash, six at the restaurant, ten at L’s Chillers, as well as two cleaning jobs and two security positions.

Motsa described the initiative as a way to help young entrepreneurs develop their businesses and create jobs. Maphalala thanked the businessman for giving him a platform to grow MAPS Village, which he hopes to develop into a brand recognised beyond its current market.

The initiative comes amid several recent efforts in Eswatini related to entrepreneurship and economic activity. On 4 October, Matron Mntshali was profiled for her work combining education, faith and entrepreneurship; on 13 October, Eswatini’s youth fund announced plans to strengthen local manufacturing.
