Cape Verde’s Institute of Higher Education in Legal and Social Sciences is contesting the suspension of the transfer of the building intended to house its permanent campus in Achada Santo António, Praia. The institute has asked to meet the Prime Minister and for the case to be reviewed, denouncing a legally questionable measure taken at the start of the academic year, according to its statement.

The Cape Verde Institute of Higher Education in Legal and Social Sciences (ISCJS) is contesting the suspension of the definitive transfer of the building in Achada Santo António, Praia, where it was due to be based. The institution has asked the Prime Minister for a meeting and a review of the case, Anacao reports.

The suspension was ordered by Government Order No. 56/2026 of 12 October. It came eight months after an earlier order, dated 10 February, authorised the transfer of the building to EFE, the company that owns ISCJS.
