The JSP party has given Garyare his candidacy card for the vice-presidency of Somalia’s Galmudug state. The candidacy is part of the political contest under way to lead the federal state, according to Caasimada Online.

The Somali Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP) on Wednesday handed its candidate card for the vice-presidency of the Federal State of Galmudug to Senator Cabdiweli Ibraahim Garyare, who will officially represent the party in the election, Caasimada Online reports.

The handover ceremony was held at the JSP’s central headquarters in Mogadishu. Garyare has thus become the candidate endorsed by the party for the post of vice-president of Galmudug, a federal state in central Somalia.

The endorsement came one day after four candidacies to lead Galmudug were announced on 20 October, as part of the race for the Galmudug presidency.
