The 2026-2027 National County Sports Meet, Liberia’s county sports tournament, will exclude first- and second-division players as well as those who have competed in at least five editions. Former players from the top two divisions will notably have to have spent three full seasons at a third-division club to be eligible, according to the tournament regulations reported by The Liberian Investigator.

The 2026-2027 National County Sports Meet, a sporting tournament held between Liberia’s counties, will ban footballers from the first and second divisions, The Liberian Investigator reports. Players who have competed in at least five editions of the competition will also be excluded.

These criteria are set out in Section 13 of the tournament regulations, on page 14, according to The Liberian Investigator. They are intended in particular to reserve the competition for players who do not regularly compete in the two top levels of Liberian football.
