The Collective of Economic and Tourism Stakeholders of Casamance is calling for repairs to the 70-kilometre road between Ziguinchor and Cap-Skirring, a journey that can take more than two hours. Its president, Doudou Tamba, is also seeking regular flights, after cancellations cost the area clients the previous year, according to APS.

At the start of the 2026-2027 tourist season, the Collective of Economic and Tourism Stakeholders of Casamance is calling for the road between Ziguinchor and Cap-Skirring to be repaired, as well as for regular flights to this destination in southern Senegal, the Senegalese Press Agency (APS) reports.

The collective says the state of the road and irregular air services make it difficult to reach Cap-Skirring and hamper Casamance’s appeal to tourists.
