Uganda’s Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Henry Musasizi, called on his counterparts to preserve investment in climate resilience despite pressure from the global energy crisis on public budgets. He was speaking on Wednesday 14 October 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, where he chaired the 16th ministerial meeting of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action, according to Nile Post.

Henry Musasizi also called for stronger international cooperation on climate finance to protect the investment needed for long-term economic development.
