Former Liberian Foreign Affairs Minister D. Maxwell Saah Kemayah and other ex-officials have been found guilty in the alleged misappropriation of rice donated by Saudi Arabia. The jury did not, however, rule on the theft and criminal conspiracy charges, reports The Liberian Investigator.

Former Liberian Foreign Affairs Minister D. Maxwell Saah Kemayah and other former government officials, including former Internal Affairs Minister Varney A. Sirleaf, have been found guilty in the corruption case involving rice donated by Saudi Arabia, by Criminal Court “C” in Monrovia, reports The Liberian Investigator.

The jury did not, however, reach a unanimous verdict on the theft and criminal conspiracy charges against Kemayah. The lack of agreement among the jurors constitutes neither a conviction nor an acquittal on those two charges. The trial was held before Criminal Court “C”, at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia.
