Congo-Brazzaville is reported to have raised about $2.48 billion on international markets, and $3.36 billion including domestic operations, according to financial analyses reported by Brazza Infos. Public debt repayments between March and May are estimated at $1.33 billion, while LCB Capital and Archer Capital are supporting the reprofiling of domestic debt.

Congo-Brazzaville is reported to have raised around $2.48 billion on international markets through bond issues and private placements, according to estimates reported by Brazza Infos. Including transactions carried out on the domestic market, the total amount would reach around $3.36 billion.

Between March and May, public debt repayments are estimated at nearly $1.33 billion, which would leave a net balance of more than $2 billion, according to the same estimates. The management of this financing capacity is being compared with persistent tensions in health centres and demands for public spending to be traceable.

At the same time, the government is reported to have selected LCB Capital and Archer Capital to support the reprofiling of domestic debt denominated in CFA francs, financial observers cited by Brazza Infos report. Archer Capital is mentioned in earlier legal disputes concerning possible networks for diverting public funds, which could increase questions about the operation’s governance.
