Lamine Yamal, Barcelona forward and favourite for the 2026 Ballon d’Or, has reportedly chartered a private jet so his family and friends can accompany him to the ceremony in London on 26 October. The Spanish player finished second in the 2025 edition, behind Ousmane Dembélé, according to media cited by La Nouvelle Tribune.

The young player is among the leading favourites after winning La Liga with Barcelona and the World Cup with Spain. He finished second in the 2025 edition, behind Ousmane Dembélé. Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are also named among the contenders.
