All People’s Congress (APC) official Minkailu Koroma has challenged the methodology of an Independent Governance Review report, saying its authors did not consult the party’s newly elected delegates. He also questioned possible links between the review body and Sierra Leone’s Electoral Commission during an AYV programme, reports Sierraloaded.
Minkailu Koroma, a senior official of the All People’s Congress (APC), Sierra Leone’s main opposition party, has challenged the methodology of an Independent Governance Review (IGR) report. He said the team had not consulted his party’s elected delegates on the Wake Up Sierra Leone programme on AYV, reports Sierraloaded.
Koroma said the APC’s internal elections were still under way and that the party had not completed its list of delegates. He therefore questioned the list used by the IGR for its consultations and described its methodology as inadequate.
The APC official also raised the possibility of coordination between the IGR and the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL), without presenting evidence to substantiate the accusation. He said he was not opposed to the report itself, but to the process of gathering information from the delegates.
