The Saudi Pro League has postponed three matches, including Al-Nassr’s, after an escalation in attacks by Houthi rebels against Saudi Arabia. Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad are scheduled to play on 19 December, while Al-Nassr will return on 6 March 2027, according to the Saudi league, cited by Vanguard.
The Saudi Pro League (SPL), Saudi Arabia’s top-flight football competition, has postponed three ninth-round matches, including one involving Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, following an escalation in attacks attributed to the Houthis, Vanguard reports. The league announced the postponements on its website on Tuesday 13 October 2026.
The SPL justified its decision on “logistical considerations” and compliance with the mandatory minimum rest period between matches. The postponements come as Saudi Arabia faces an intensification of its conflict with the Houthis in Yemen, amid several attacks on Saudi territory.
