The National Office for Civil Status and Identification (ONECI) launched on Wednesday 14 October 2026 an enrolment operation for the national identity card (CNI) for examination-year students at Bouaké Technical High School in Ivory Coast. The aim is to enrol as many students as possible by the end of April 2027, ONECI deputy regional delegate Palougo Soro told AIP.
Conducted in agreement with the Ministry of National Education, Literacy and Technical Education, the initiative aims to spare students from travelling to enrolment centres. The remaining period after the operation is to be devoted to producing the cards, according to Palougo Soro.
