The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) seized 8,725 kg of powdered tramadol at Apapa port in Lagos, worth an estimated more than 6.98 billion naira, the Daily Post reported. The consignment, shipped from India, had been declared as corn starch before laboratory tests identified it as tramadol hydrochloride.

In Edo State, the NDLEA also arrested an 85-year-old woman in possession of 179 kg of cannabis, according to the Daily Post.
