Guinean special prosecutor Alphonse Charles Wright announced that the prosecution would appeal to the Court of Cassation against the ruling handed down on appeal in the case of former Defence Minister Mohamed Diané, according to Guinéenews. He contests the legal grounds for the decision by the appeals chamber of the Court for the Repression of Economic and Financial Offences (CRIEF).
Alphonse Charles Wright said the appeal did not target Mohamed Diané personally, but the interpretation of the law adopted by the judges.
